What are we about?

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a nonprofit, nonpolitical women’s volunteer service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism. There are nearly 3,000 chapters in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign countries.

Any woman 18 years or older may join the DAR by documenting her lineage to an ancestor who aided the case of American independence through military, civil or patriotic service. Application assistance provided.

DAR John Hogg Sr. Chapter annual activities include:
Participating in Wreaths Across American
Honoring veteran grave sites with flags
Supporting local ISDs by awarding scholarships
Honoring good citizens in our community
Participating in commemorative events
Promoting the U.S. Constitution
Providing genealogy research assistance
Supporting historic preservation

When and where do we meet?

Sept. - May monthly meetings are every 3rd Monday.
Holly Hall in Holly Lake Ranch at 1:00 p.m.

Visitors and potential members are always welcome. Our current members include residents of Holly Lake Ranch (HLR), Lake Howkins, Gilmer and Quitman. If not an HLR resident, please call a number below for security gate clearance.
