Q: What is the speed limit at Holly Lake Ranch?

A: The speed limit inside the gates at Holly Lake Ranch is 25 mph.  This speed limit is necessary to maintain the safety of our residents and the abundance of wildlife found here.

 

Q: Are golf carts allowed on the roads at Holly Lake Ranch?

A: Yes, and the drivers must obey all traffic signs. See Rules and Regulations regarding requirements for drivers.

Q: If I'm driving my golf cart on Holly Lake Ranch roads, am I required to pull over to let cars pass?

A: Yes, you must safely pull over to let cars pass. For example, you are not required to pull over on the dam due to the drop offs on each side of the road. See the HLRA Rules and Regulations.

Q:  Is it okay to feed the deer at Holly Lake Ranch?

A:  No, feeding wildlife is not allowed on Holly Lake Ranch.

Q: Who do I call about a dog running loose? About an injured wild animal?

A: Call the Security Office. (903-769-2164)

Q: Does HLRA have a leash law?

A: Yes, all dogs must be on a physical leash when not on their owner’s property.  All dogs shall have an identification tag which includes at a minimum the owner’s name and phone number, or be implanted with a chip.  For nuisance dogs, call the Security Office. Q: Do I need a fishing license to fish on HLRA lakes?

A: You do not need a fishing license on the private lakes within the HLRA gates.

Q: Where can I find the boating rules for each of the lakes?

Q: Can my guest bring a boat when visiting HLRA?

A: Yes, but they are subject to Holly Lake Ranch Guest Lake Use Policy for rules and fees.

Q: Are there any Emergency Evacuation Plans?  Any alert systems in place?

A: There is a Mass-Notification System in place.  Make sure you are registered by checking with the Security Office.
