About the Course

Welcome to one of the first Leon Howard Golf Courses in east Texas, designed and built in 1974. Our 18-hole Championship course at Holly Lake Ranch is the most beautiful layout in the area. Our Par 72 course is 6,784 yards from the Championship tees and 5,584 from the forward tees, we can offer you comfort in finding a course that is challenging and rewarding. Lined with Pine Trees, Dogwoods, Azaleas, you will find it hard to realized you are only 2 hours from the Metroplex, or a short drive away from your home.

The Golf course is built over 168 acres at Holly Lake Ranch and includes an excellent practice facility that will entice you to work on every club in your bag. A putting green located next the Pro Shop and is open seven days a week. The Course is open every day except Tuesday allowing you to have a place to enjoy your Monday following any busy weekend. The Pro Shop is Staffed and run by our Head Golf Professional Jeff Wilson and his wonderful staff.

The WGA and MGA are active associations at HLR. Members participate in the many club sponsored tournaments throughout the year. We support our local high school golf teams and sponsor the NTPGA Junior Invitational. We are closed on Tuesdays.

Golf Club Memberships

All members who wish to start or renew their 2025 golf membership may start on December 9, 2024. These prices remain in effect until changed by the Board of Directors.

All memberships are January through December commitments. No refunds of membership fees are issued unless you move and are no longer an owner at Holly Lake Ranch or you have a verified medical condition that precludes you from playing for a specific period of time (time period must exceed 3 months).

You will receive a discount if the membership is paid in full on or before January 17, 2025. After that date all pro-rated fees are based on the credit card, cash or check price. All refunds will be pro-rated based off the price/rate that the member paid.

* Life Partners are defined as a couple living in a common law relationship or a same sex couple recognized as married by the Supreme Court ruling of June 26, 2015.

Ten Packs

Ten Packs may be purchased for $347 (plus tax). An additional ten pack may be purchased after June 30, 2025 if the first ten pack has been completely used. Only one ten pack may be purchased for the first half of the calendar year and one ten pack during the second half of the calendar year. The ten pack can be used by self, another non-member resident or guest. However, the owner who purchased the ten pack must play with the party who redeems the single play from the ten pack. All players using the ten pack must check in at the Pro Shop prior to play. No Refunds for unused rounds, and if the card is lost or stolen you must purchase a new one within the purchasing guidelines.

New Property Owners

New owners that pay an initiation fee of $7500 will receive a punch card with 5 complimentary rounds of golf to be used by any member of their immediate family. They may then join as a “New” member with pro-rated rates through December of the year they join.

New Members

NEW members may join at any time during the year with the membership pro-rated through January 1 of the next year. A past member cannot rejoin as a “NEW” member with pro-rated dues unless they have been a non-member for two years or more.
